PhibroChem’s Ethanol Performance Group (EPG) remains bullish on ethanol and continues to expand its team. Recent additions to the company’s roster reflect a continued commitment to the ethanol industry.
Phibro has welcomed Tom Slunecka, Kent Holzer, and Jill Moline in the last six months.
Slunecka was recently named Vice President, Marketing for EPG, which supplies the ethanol industry with LACTROL®, the market leading antimicrobial to help keep lactic acid bacteria at bay during fermentation. Slunecka and his team will be responsible for product promotions, industry relations and new product development.
Slunecka brings a wealth of ethanol knowledge to the table as the former Executive Director of the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council (EPIC); and Vice President of Marketing for both the National Corn Growers Association and KL Process Design Group, a cellulosic technology development firm.
“Phibro’s EPG is a true leader in the ethanol industry and I am excited to have the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities to the industry,” said Slunecka. “Phibro's continued investment in people, facilities and technology proves we are determined to help this industry see its full potential.”
Holzer has been hired as the Manager of Phibro’s field services team. Holzer and his team will support Phibro’s sales organization by advising on fermentation and antimicrobial issues. Holzer formerly worked as a Plant Manager at VeraSun’s Janesville, Minn., ethanol plant.
Also a former VeraSun Energy Inc employee, Moline will work with Phibro’s technical team as a Sr. Fermentations Specialist to help customers identify contaminations and optimize fermentation processes. Moline was most recently the Process Quality Manager at VeraSun Energy Inc.
